Abstract
The primary purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between online payment system adoption and purchase decisions among college students and to examine whether significant differences exist when the variables are analyzed according to year level. The study employed a non-experimental quantitative research design using descriptive-correlational and descriptive-comparative methods. Stratified random sampling was utilized to determine the research sample, and survey questionnaires were used to gather data. Likewise, mean, standard deviation, Pearson (r), and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were the statistical tools utilized to answer the research objective. Findings revealed that the levels of online payment system adoption and purchase decisions were both rated very high. Further, no significant differences were found in either variable when analyzed according to year level. Moreover, the results showed a significant relationship between online payment system adoption and purchase decisions. The study implies that online payment systems significantly influence students’ purchase decisions, emphasizing the need to enhance security, trust, and accessibility to sustain adoption.
