These terms apply to every manuscript submitted to a journal on SciMatic (scimatic.org) and to every article SciMatic publishes. The journals on SciMatic are published by ZincirX Inc., a Delaware corporation; SciMatic is its brand. The author who submits a manuscript (including a Write with AI order) accepts these terms on behalf of all of its authors. Payments are covered by our Terms of Sale, and personal data by our Privacy Notice.
1. Submission
- The manuscript is its authors' original work, and all sources are properly cited.
- It has not been published and is not under consideration by another journal.
- Every listed author has approved the submission and these terms.
- The authors consent to editorial screening and peer review of the manuscript.
- Before a manuscript is accepted, you may withdraw it by writing to the journal or to info@scimatic.org. Nothing is charged, and it has no other consequence.
2. Copyright and licence
If the article is published, its copyright passes, on behalf of all authors, to ZincirX Inc., the publisher of SciMatic, which publishes it open access under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence. The authors are always credited as its authors.
3. The publication fee (APC)
- A postpaid journal shows its article processing charge (APC) before you submit, and SciMatic charges it only if the article is accepted. Nothing is charged for an article that is not accepted.
- If the fee is not paid within one month of acceptance, the article may be retracted from the issue. That process follows its own notice and does not by itself lead to blacklisting.
- Prepaid journals collect their fee from authors directly; the amount and the payment are arranged with the journal's editorial office.
4. No refund after publication
Once an article is published, the publication fee and any other fee paid for that article (for example Write with AI or AI correction) are not refunded. This includes an article that is later retracted at the request of its authors or because of a breach of these terms.
5. Retraction at the authors' request
- A published article is part of the scholarly record and is not deleted. If its authors ask SciMatic to retract a published article (for example, to publish it in another journal), SciMatic retracts it: the article's page stays online with its title and a retraction notice in place of its full text.
- Every author of the retracted article is placed on SciMatic's public blacklist, with their name, the date and the reason. A person on the blacklist may not submit manuscripts, be an author of a new submission or create journals on SciMatic.
- The fees paid for the article are not refunded (section 4).
- Blacklisting under this section applies to articles submitted on or after 22 October 2026, when these terms took effect.
6. Misconduct
SciMatic or the journal may retract an article for serious misconduct, such as plagiarism, fabricated or falsified data, duplicate publication or a serious breach of these terms, and may place the persons responsible on the blacklist.
7. The blacklist
The blacklist at https://scimatic.org/blacklist shows each person's name, the date they were listed and the reason. E-mail addresses are never published. If you believe you are listed by mistake, write to info@scimatic.org.
8. Questions
For a question about these terms, write to info@scimatic.org. Publisher: ZincirX Inc., c/o Legalinc Corporate Services Inc., 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory law.
