Abstract
This study was designed to determine the efficacy of the supplementary material in Mathematics 6 with Reading Integration among the Grade 6-Villanueva learners of Banisil Central Elementary School, Tambler, General Santos City, for the School Year 2021-2022. The study utilized a pre-experimental research design in order to determine the efficacy of the supplementary material in Mathematics 6 with reading integration. The respondents of this study were the 30 Grade 6 learners that undergone pre-test before the treatment and a post-test after the application of the supplementary materials as the treatment of the study. The study found that the pre-test scores of the learners in Mathematics 6 were very low, while the post-test results of the Grade 6 learners after utilizing the supplemental Mathematics material or the Self-learning modules were average. Moreover, the study also found that the use of simplified self-learning modules effectively improves the performance of Grade 6 learners in mathematics. The findings implied that teachers should utilize supplemental material not only in the Mathematics subject but also in all content areas, as it enhanced the process skills among learners and is an effective way of learning independently.
