Abstract
This is a quantitative research using descriptive research design. It aimed to determine the basic T’boli dance steps common to all T’boli dances ; develop multimedia instructional tool in basic T’boli dance steps for Grade 12 Senior High School; and determine the level of acceptability of the multimedia instructional tool in terms of content, instructional qualities, and technical aspect. The respondents of the study were the dance masters of the T’boli tribe, and the selected teachers from Koronadal City, South Cotabato. Purposive sampling was used and focus group discussion was utilized to gather data, through questionnaires. The obtained data from the questionnaires were analyzed using weighted mean and standard deviation. The result showed that there were five basic dance steps common to all T’boli dances. A multimedia instructional tool was identified to be developed as an instructional material on teaching T’boli dances. Based on the result of the evaluation, the created material was an excellent tool. As recommended, the multimedia instructional tool should be utilized ; further studies should be conducted on the other T’boli dances; more sophisticated technologies should be used on creating instructional media on dances; assessment on the created multimedia instructional tool should be conducted to determine its effectiveness to the Grade 12 SHS students; and the guide book should be improved based on the result of the assessment.
