Unlocking Inclusive Education Excellence: Assessing Teachers' Awareness in Sarangani Division as Basis for Learning and Development Initiative

Abstract

The study focused on determining the level of awareness of the teachers on inclusive education in the Division of Sarangani. It made used of sequential explanatory approach; specifically descriptive method followed by qualitative analysis. The statistical result revealed that the level of awareness on the concept of inclusive education of teachers in SDO Sarangani was rated moderate. In terms of its policies and guidelines analysis result described as moderate which implies a moderate level of awareness on inclusivity implementation policies and guidelines. Also, the result showed awareness of teachers in inclusivity based on their roles in just moderate. The overall awareness level of the three domains has an overall awareness level of moderate. This means that inclusivity along with its specific concepts is not fully understood by the teachers in general. The conduct of learning and development training on inclusive education is needed to ensure equal access to quality education for all. This shall safeguard the welfare of students with disability in inclusive setting.
