Abstract
This study determined the classroom management skills and the work performance of the public elementary teachers in the district of Alcantara, Cebu for the school year 2023-2024 as basis for a faculty enhancement plan. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design to determine the significant relationship between classroom management skills and the level of work performance of public elementary teachers. There are 98 respondents from the district of Alcantara, Cebu. Under the classroom management skills, teaching skills. Management Skills and interpersonal relations established a significant relationship while discipline and regularity resulted in no significant relationship to the domain Inside the classroom. Organization of the lesson has having significant relationship to discipline regularity and interpersonal relations while it does have a significant relationship to teaching skills and management skills. Strong classroom management skills are vital in creating a positive and conducive learning environment wherein the teachers can increase students’ engagement. With this, classroom management skills' impact on work performance goes beyond the teachers’ professional reputation. This study recommends the need to foster strong classroom management skills through relevant seminars and workshops, and a program wherein closed monitoring of the application on how to manage a classroom will be supervised.
