Abstract
The EcoRizer is implemented to manage waste sustainably by converting paper waste efficiently into fine particles that can be reused as soil additives or mixtures for plants. The designed system features a high-speed paper material grinding and sieving system. This design uses advanced paper control systems and incorporates features to manage the grinding and processing stages. The project design was developed systematically through five phases: considering design options based on existing waste management paper technology, like shredders and grinders, component procurement, prototype assembling, construction finalization, and evaluation through streamlined performance tests. The tests used waste paper samples that were folded and segmented into 10g and 20g portions and subjected to different power levels. This innovative approach addresses waste management challenges while maintaining cost-efficient operations, with monthly electricity expenses of ₱ 1,006.506. Additionally, the efficiency rate of the paper pulverizer machine in 10 grams is 86.67%, while the 20 grams have 81.67% efficiency. The EcoRizer is an economically sustainable and sustainable way to manage paper waste. It offers flexibility, efficiency, and economically viability, scoring 4.3, which is considered exceptional among the ten (10) respondents who inspected the machine. For innovative practices aimed at eco-friendly initiatives, through trial-and-error adjustments, such as modifying blade numbers and spacing, the machine is an innovative solution, as it has shown improved durability and stability.
