Abstract

This study attempted to determine the significant relationship between academic performance and attitude towards science among Grade 3,4. and 5 pupils of Binubongan Elementary School, School Year 2024-2025, Malanang Opol, Division of Misamis Oriental. The study used the descriptive method using an adopted questionnaire from Bation (2020) to determine the relationship between academic performance and attitude towards science. Statistical tools used were frequency, percentage, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. Further, respondents did not garner the highest degree of curiosity, critical-mindedness, objectivity, intellectual honesty, and open-mindedness. There were a few who came out sometimes and seldom affected their attitude towards Science, which doesn't guarantee to give a closer effect on their Academic Performance. Hence, Science teachers are encouraged to upgrade themselves through pursuing graduate studies and attending seminars to develop the students' potential and their attitude towards Science, and instill in the minds of the students that Science plays a vital role in their lives.
