Abstract
The study aimed to assess the Reading Intervention Design through Aksyun Ko E-sound Mo Teaching Strategy for Grade 1 Pupils. The descriptive-correlational research method was utilized,, and the Statistical tools used in the study were mean and standard deviation to determine the reading intervention design and frequency, and percentages to determine the level of pupils’ reading performance. Spearman's Rho Correlation was used to assess the significant relationship between learners' reading level and the reading intervention design. The finding reveals that the extent of implementation of the Aksyun Ko E-sound Mo teaching strategy in reading shows a low or slight correlation with pupils’ reading performance, as indicated by the significant probability value. In summary, School Principals/School Heads are recommended to provide technical assistance to teachers to enhance teaching reading and sustain teachers’ initiative to improve pupils’ reading competence. Additionally, support should be provided to fully implement the program for the Aksyun Ko E-sound Mo reading enhancement initiative. Teachers as instructional leaders are recommended to continuously develop reading enhancement initiatives to help struggling readers improve their reading performance. Parents are advised to primarily support their children's reading development through home reading follow-up and monitoring.
