Abstract
The primary purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of COVID-19 policies by Philippine National Police in the province of Capiz. The respondents of the study are the 217 barangay captains in the province of Capiz. Descriptive correlational research design was used in this study. A survey questionnaire was used in the collection of relevant data which were divided in to four parts: Part One was the socio-demographic profile of the respondents; Part Two were the level of implementation of COVID-19 policies; Part Three were the level of performance of Philippine National Police personnel; Part Four were the problems encountered by Philippine National Police personnel in the implementation of COVID-19 policies. Data gathered were statistically analyzed using the SPSS. The statistical tools that were utilized to analyze the descriptive results were frequency counts, means and percentage. Results were interpreted at 0.05 level of significance. Most of the respondents were male and ages thirties, married and baccalaureate degree with a monthly income of P30,000.00 to P49,999.00. Philippine National Police personnel has an “Outstanding performance” in the implementation of Covid-19 policies issued by the government, there is no significant difference in the performance of Philippine National Police personnel when grouped according to sex. However, there is a significant variation in the performance when the respondents are grouped according to age and length of service. Both first and second district of Capiz Philippine National Police personnel were performing well in implementing COVID-19 policies. Policies were “Fully Implemented”, however there is “Very Serious Problem” in the implementation of Covid-19 policies.
