Abstract
The main objective of this qualitative study was to aim and understand the academic chronicles among mathematics quizzers. Using purposive sampling, 14 mathematics students from a public school's mathematics quiz team were selected as participants. All of them participated in an in-depth study. The results revealed the participants' experiences, including the challenges they faced as mathematics quizzers. Having the feeling of satisfaction and fun in mathematics; collaborative learning enhances mathematical understanding; and lack of self-confidence causing learning deficiency. In response to the challenges they have encountered, they deemed the following coping strategies essential: embodying the practical importance of mathematics; mentor support and motivation; emulating positive mindset and perseverance; and practicing self-preparation strategies, they arrived at the following insights: reflections on the importance of active learning and persistence; perseverance and growth mindset in mathematics; integration of technology for enhanced engagement and learning; and overcoming math challenges through effort and engagement. The results of this study were anticipated to be meaningful and important to the participants, teachers, students, and researchers.
