Abstract
This study examined the relationship between the transformational leadership qualities of school heads and teachers’ motivation and job satisfaction in the Dagohoy District, Division of Bohol, during the School Year 2023–2024. The findings served as the basis for proposing a program to enrich leadership practices in schools. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on teacher motivation and job satisfaction, and to describe the demographic profile of the respondents. The respondents consisted of 14 school heads and 123 teachers within the district who directly experienced the leadership practices of school heads. Data were analyzed using frequency count, percentage, weighted mean, chi-square test of association, t-test, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. Findings revealed that the demographic profile of school heads was not significantly associated with their perceived transformational leadership qualities. However, a significant difference existed between school heads' and teachers' perceptions of transformational leadership qualities. The study further found significant positive relationships between transformational leadership qualities and teachers’ motivation and job satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of transformational leadership in promoting teacher motivation and satisfaction in the workplace. Based on the results, the study recommends that school heads continue to strengthen key dimensions of transformational leadership, including inspirational motivation, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. It also suggests sustained professional development for teachers, institutional support from education authorities for leadership development programs, and further research exploring additional factors influencing teacher motivation, job satisfaction, and student outcomes.
