Abstract
The learning styles of Grade Five students were categorized into three types: the visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This research is about the learning styles in Araling Panlipunan among Grade Five learners. It assessed the effect of the students’ learning styles among Grade 5 learners in Araling Panlipunan of Guadalupe Elementary School at Graje, Guadalupe, Carcar City, Cebu, for the school year 2024- 2025. This study utilized a descriptive-correlational research design in investigating and determining the learning styles and classroom preferences of the learners. The findings revealed that the majority of the participants are male students aged 10 and belong to a fairly satisfactory level. The preferred learning styles of Grade 5 learners in Araling Panlipunan, in terms of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, all have a very high impact. As to classroom preferences, all have a high impact. The academic achievement of the learners in the second quarter were very satisfactory level. The impact of learning styles on the academic achievement of learners in Araling Panlipunan was found to be significant. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between learning styles and classroom preferences among Grade 5 learners, with the visual learning style being significantly related to group activities and multimedia presentations. On the other hand, auditory learning has a significant relationship with teacher-learning engagement, and kinesthetic learning has a significant relationship with group activity. Developing a setting that caters to various learning preferences, like providing interactive, cooperative, and sensory- oriented experiences, can enhance engagement and motivation for all students in Araling Panlipunan. A student-centered teaching approach that integrates various learning styles and classroom preferences is crucial for improving academic outcomes in Araling Panlipunan.
