Abstract
This study assessed the implementation and identified opportunities within youth development programs in the Municipality of Mambajao during Fiscal Year 2024. Using a quantitative research approach with a descriptive survey design, data were gathered through an adapted and validated questionnaire, supplemented by informal interviews. The respondents consisted of 435 youth beneficiaries selected through random sampling across various barangays. Findings indicated that the overall extent of program implementation was rated as high, reflecting full and consistent delivery of youth development initiatives. Likewise, opportunities within the programs were also rated as high, suggesting that these opportunities were consistently available to youth participants. Statistical analysis revealed no statistically significant differences in implementation and perceived opportunities when respondents were grouped by sex, age, or years of residency. However, significant variations were found across barangays, particularly between Naasag and Bug-ong, Pandan, and Soro-soro. These results underscore the need for targeted interventions to promote equitable access to youth development programs and to strengthen economic empowerment initiatives across all barangays.
