Abstract
One of the biggest economic challenges faced by poultry farms is the continuously rising costs of feed and raw materials. As the demand for poultry products increases, so does the demand for the ingredients needed to produce feed. Another issue is the ban on antibiotics used to promote animal growth due to antimicrobial tolerance development. (Puvača et al., 2020) The goal of the study was to evaluate the influence of Madre de Agua, Malunggay, Mosquito Ferns, and Squash powder as alternative food supplements in poultry nutrition. Materials were cut into desired sizes dried and ground, after which ground ingredients were then mixed based on desired treatments. Based on the data gathered with the three treatments replicated three times, based on the mass of chicken treatment three (3) got the lowest mean average (1,00.32g), and treatment four (4) got the highest mean average (1,063.9g). Based on the of height of chicken treatment two (2) got the lowest mean average (26.46cm) and treatment three (3) got the highest mean average (26.66cm). Based on the density of powder treatment three (3) got the lowest mean average (1.5g/ml) and treatment four (4) got the highest mean average (3.83g/ml). Analysis of variance was used for statistical analysis, based on the results and data gathered the value of F is greater than the F crit in terms of mass and height, therefore the null hypothesis was rejected. Based on the results the Madre de agua, Malunggay, Mosquito ferns, and Squash have potential as chicken food powdered supplement.
