Abstract
This study aimed to determine the impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon. It determined the profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, years of residency and number of visits in the park. It also revealed the impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon in terms of social interaction, engaging community events and honoring national heroes. The researcher used descriptive method of research. This study employed simple random sampling design. Under this procedure, the researcher considered using one hundred (100) respondents selected students and residents in Calauag, Quezon to get the 100% of the respondents. This study determined that majority of the visitors in the Heroes Park are age 14-18 years old which account for 37% of the total respondents. Male and female are both commonly visiting the park with a total of 50% total of respondents. Most of the respondents are living in Calauag, Quezon for almost 11-15 years which accounts for 40% of the total respondents. In terms of number of visits in the park, it shows that most of the respondents visited the park daily. This study found out that the average mean of 4.06 interpreted as Agree indicated most of the respondents agreed on the impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon in terms of social interaction. Likewise, the average mean of 3.66 interpreted as Agree, indicated that most of the respondents agreed on the impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon in terms of engaging community events. The average mean of 4.01 interpreted as Agree, indicated that most of respondents agreed on the impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon in terms of honoring national heroes. Based from the results of Kruskal Wallis H-test the null hypothesis of age, sex, years of residency and number of visits in the park are accepted, which means that there is no significant difference on the perceived impacts of municipal Heroes Park in the historical behavior of selected students in Calauag, Quezon when respondents are grouped according to age, sex, years of residency and number of visits in the park.
