Adoption of Public and Private School in the Instructional Strategies for Students’ Development in Maguindanao Province, Philippines

Abstract

Generally, this study was determining the public and private school instructional strategies in the adoption of student’s confidence development in Maguindanao province, specifically, this aims to answer the following questions, what are the profile of the respondents in terms of regular school is in, gender, age and length of service, general education, and position/ designation and  employment status? What are the public and private school instructional strategies in the adoption of students’ confidence in development as follows, adopting learning style, flexible instruction, learning preparedness, learning support, mental ability, self-Esteem, skill competency, is there a significant relationship between instruction strategies and students’ confidence development, is there any significant influence on instructional strategies and students’ confidence development. Survey questionnaire prepared by the researcher and simple computations in percent’s mean and test of relationship among variables was used in this study. The extent of the teachers’ teaching strategies in the schools of Maguindanao were described as follows adopting learning style, learning preparedness and learning support were as moderately implemented and in the students’ confidence development is the mental ability were the description of moderately implemented the general mean is 2.641 as moderately implemented the teaching strategies to the learning of the students in an instructional strategies that students adopting through self- confidence development the students. Teacher as part of their job must examine test result of their students to discover teaching strategies so that they could be used to improve instructional delivery and learning in the school system. The school should be provided by appropriate scientific interventions in terms of sustainable training to develop the capacity building and enhancement of faculty productivity to cope with the new trend in learning strategies to improve and maximize the teaching-learning process. A similar study should be replicated using the different variables that would affect and enhance students learning capability particular in adopting learning styles and others strategies that be ready to apply in learning skills and also in same variables that influence the academic performance of the students in learning.
