Abstract
The effectiveness of physical education program to students’ holistic development is profoundly influenced by teachers’ instructional competence, management support, and school infrastructure. This descriptive-correlational research aimed to determine the teachers’ instructional competence, management support and school infrastructure in the Schools Division of Iloilo, Province of Iloilo, Philippines for the School Year 2022-2023 as evaluated by the MAPEH teachers when they were classified according to age, sex, educational attainment, length of service and position. Frequency count, percentage, rank and mean, T-Test, Analysis of Variance, and Pearson r were used to compute the data gathered. The findings of the study revealed that majority of the respondents were 40 years old and below, bachelor’s degree, medium length of service, and teacher I-III. Majority of the respondents are with “Very High” instructional competence, management support, and school infrastructure. Further, no significant differences in teachers’ instructional competence existed when classified according to age, sex, educational attainment, length of service and position; management support existed when classified according to age, educational attainment length of service, and position, and teachers’ school infrastructure existed when classified according to age, educational attainment length of service, and position. However, there is a significant relationship existed among teachers’ instructional competence, management support; management support and school infrastructure, and management support and school infrastructure.
