Abstract
This study explores the influence of AI-powered tutoring systems and self- efficacy on the mathematical problem-solving skills of BSED Mathematics students in Kolehiyo ng Pantukan. Using a quantitative predictive-correlational research design, data were collected from 131 students through validated survey questionnaires and analyzed using Multiple Linear Regression. The findings revealed that students generally have a high level of AI-powered tutoring system adoption, particularly in their awareness of its functions and benefits. The level of self-efficacy was also found to be high, as students frequently perceive positive vicarious experiences and physiological states. The level of mathematical problem-solving skills was rated as high, as students frequently showed strong problem-solving skills in Math, indicating a strong capacity to visualize, describe, plan, implement, and evaluate complex math problems. Statistical analysis confirmed that high reported levels of AI-powered tutoring systems and self-efficacy are significantly associated with high levels of self-reported mathematical problem-solving skills. Regression analysis further revealed that these factors significantly influence mathematical problem-solving skills. The study highlights the importance of integrating AI- powered tutoring systems and fostering positive self-efficacy to improve the mathematical problem-solving skills of students in academic learning.
