Senior High School Students’ Work Immersion Program: An Assessment

Abstract

The study sought to assess the relationship between the Senior high School students work immersion performance and its profile. Descriptive-correlational research method was utilized and the Statistical tools used in the study were frequency counts and percentage distribution were used to present the profile of the work immersion senior high school students. and mean values and standard deviation were used to determine the level of work performance and competences of work immersion senior high school students. Pearson r was utilized to ascertain significant relationship between the Senior High School students work immersion performance and its profile. Findings revealed that senior high school students’ profile in terms of age and gender signify “Low or slight relationship” to their work immersion performance while strands denote “Negligible Correlation” to senior high school students’ work immersion performance as indicated in the probability value. As a summary, it was recommended that School Principals/School Heads are recommended to provide technical support to teachers to equip senior high school students needed technical skills useful for the work immersion program and at the same time intensify collaboration and partnership with the industries and business establishments which provide trainings during the work immersion program.
