Abstract

This study, titled “External Stakeholders’ Engagement in School Physical Facility Development and Management in Selected Secondary Schools in the Division of Tayabas City”, investigated the extent of involvement of parents, alumni, Local Government Units (LGUs), and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the development and management of school facilities. Utilizing a descriptive research design, data were gathered through surveys among selected stakeholders. Findings revealed that limited financial resources, bureaucratic procedures, and insufficient coordination among stakeholders often hindered engagement. However, various strategies were employed to address these constraints: LGUs adopted funding and policy coordination initiatives, parents practiced communication and compliance approaches, alums pursued partnership and resource-sharing efforts, and NGOs advanced advocacy and outreach programs promoting equity and inclusion. The study concluded that strengthening participatory planning, transparent communication, and shared accountability is essential to sustain stakeholder collaboration and ensure the effective and equitable management of school physical facilities.
