Abstract
This study examined the relationship between human resource development (HRD) interventions and organizational effectiveness among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). A total of fifty- one respondents, consisting of employees from selected SMEs, were included in the study using a purposive sampling technique. The study employed a descriptive- correlational design to determine the demographic profile of the respondents, the level of HRD interventions, the level of organizational effectiveness, the relationship between HRD interventions and organizational effectiveness, and the influence of HRD interventions on organizational effectiveness. Findings revealed that both HRD interventions and organizational effectiveness were rated at a high level. Statistical analysis further indicated a significant positive relationship between HRD interventions and organizational effectiveness among SMEs, suggesting that improvements in HRD practices are associated with higher levels of organizational effectiveness. Moreover, the results demonstrated that the HRD interventions exert a significant influence on organizational effectiveness. Overall, the findings highlight the critical role of maximizing HRD interventions in enhancing the organizational effectiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. These results underscore the importance of strategic investment in HRD initiatives as a means of strengthening SME performance and effectiveness.
