Abstract
This study aimed to identify the unique effects of programs created to raise parental awareness of phonemics on their children's reading achievement levels. It determined the profile of the respondents in terms of age and sex. It revealed parental awareness of the role of phonemics in developing learners' reading proficiency, specifically in enhancing reading comprehension, word recognition, and spelling proficiency. It also showed the pupils' performance during the pre-test and post-test. The researcher employed a descriptive research method. This study employed a purposive sampling method. Under this procedure, the researcher considered using 30 parents and 30 grade 2 pupils, both male and female, in San Diego Elementary School in Buenavista, Quezon, as the respondents of the study. The findings revealed that most of the respondents were between 31 and 40 years old. The female respondents outnumbered the male population. The respondents consisted of 30 parents and 30 grade 2 pupils.
