Abstract
Agriculture remains a vital driver of economic stability, rural development, and food security, particularly in developing countries such as the Philippines. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the Organic Agriculture Module in developing entrepreneurial competencies among senior high school students at Mayao Parada Agricultural Integrated High School during the 2024–2025 academic year. Grounded in Constructivist Learning Theory, Experiential Learning Theory, and the Entrepreneurial Competency Model, the research emphasized the value of experiential, skills-based, and goal-driven education. It examined how the module's goals, instructional content, teaching strategies, and hands-on components impacted students' entrepreneurial development. Adopting a descriptive-correlational design, the study involved 90 Grade 11 and 12 learners enrolled in the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Agricultural and Fisheries Arts strand. Data collection methods included structured questionnaires, performance tasks, and written assessments. Results indicated that students strongly agreed with the clarity, relevance, and applicability of the module's features. A majority of participants demonstrated high levels of entrepreneurial proficiency in both practical activities and theoretical understanding. Statistical findings further confirmed significant correlations between the instructional elements of the module and various indicators of entrepreneurial skill development. The study concluded that clearly defined learning outcomes, updated and meaningful content, participatory teaching approaches, and authentic practical experiences contribute significantly to fostering entrepreneurial skills among learners. These outcomes underscore the value of embedding entrepreneurship into agricultural education, particularly within TVL tracks. The insights generated from this research are expected to guide educators, curriculum planners, and policymakers in refining organic agriculture programs to promote sustainable, entrepreneurial mindsets among Filipino youth.
