Abstract
This research was conducted because there were no Purposive Communication modules that utilized the 7Es inquiry-based, blended, and flexible learning designs. This study aimed to design, develop, and evaluate the nine modules in Purposive Communication. The study employed instructional material using ADDIE model and a descriptive research design. The evaluation covered the structure, content, processes, and outcomes by five experts in the field. It also covered the readability of the module in terms of the age and grade level of the students. The evaluators used a tool that has four components: structure (environment, organization, and context); content (information presentation, human aspects, relationships, and interactions, and quality), processes (quality, human aspects, relationships, and interactions), and outcomes (course evaluation and content mastery). The reliability of 0.96 of the evaluation tool was based on Cronbach's Alpha. For readability, the Readability Online Calculator was used. The design of the modules was inquiry-based, blended, and flexible, utilizing the 7Es framework. During the development, each part of the 7Es (elicit, engage, explore, explain, elaborate, evaluate, and extend) was written. The experts' evaluation results were presented using the mean and standard deviation. The means were interpreted as follows: 0.76-1.5 less satisfactory; 1.51-2.25 satisfactory; and 2.26-3.00 very satisfactory. The results showed that the developed modules in Purposive Communication were very satisfactory, the highest, in all areas evaluated, with a grand mean of 2.83; SD = 0.07. The findings revealed that the readability of all the Purposive Communication modules is suitable for students aged 18 years old and first-year college students. The modules are suitable for an age range of 10-18 years and a grade level range of 5-12 grade. The study provided evidence for the implementation/pilot testing of student users, and may serve as support for curriculum subjects in future research.
