Abstract
Child labor has become a painful struggle affecting the lives and future of children. Using the descriptive and correlational research designs, the study determined the antecedents and development of 198 out-of-school youth engaged in child labor in the Province of Sultan Kudarat as a springboard for an infographic in teaching social studies. Frequency, weighted mean, Pearson product-moment correlation, and analysis of variance were used in the data analysis. Results indicated that poverty and insufficient financial resources are primary drivers of child labor in the region, adversely affecting both the social and educational development of children. A significant relationship emerged between the antecedents and the effects of child labor. The infographic developed from this research was rated as excellent, highlighting its potential as an effective educational tool in teaching social studies.
