Abstract
This study explored how peer support helps SPED teachers manage emotional demands and prevent burnout. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach with thematic analysis to explore the real-life experiences of eight SPED teachers through in-depth interviews. The findings showed that many emotional stressors come from heavy workloads, misunderstood students, paperwork, and lack of support. However, teachers also shared how peer support helps them feel less alone, gives emotional relief, and builds teamwork. Support from coworkers made them feel motivated, helped them cope better, and made their jobs feel lighter and more meaningful. The study highlights the importance of strong peer relationships in creating a positive and healthy work environment for SPED teachers.
