Cyberbullying: Its Social and Academic Effects to Undergraduate Students in the Province of Capiz

Abstract

This study investigated the extent of social and academic effects of cyberbullying victimization of undergraduate students in the province of Capiz. The mixed-method of research was utilized. The data needed for the study was gathered using the demographic profile for the profiling of the respondents, Cyberbullying Victimization Scale, Student Adjustment to College Questionnaire and the researcher-made focus group discussion guide. The Major findings of the study were (a) the extent of the entire cyberbullying victimizations was moderate, (b) the extent of the entire social effects of cyberbullying victimization was moderate, (d) the extent of the entire academic effects of cyberbullying victimization was high, (f) there are significant differences in the social, and academic effects among the extents of cyberbullying victimization.
