Abstract
This study aimed of the research was to assess the impact of mental health and stress on the teachers of Bulua Central School. Specifically, this study sought to: (1) determine the extent of mental health and stress level of teachers i; (2) assess the level of primary school teachers’ teaching performance when categorized as outstanding, very satisfactory, satisfactory, unsatisfactory, and poor; and (3) find the significant relationship between the level of primary school teachers’ teaching performance and the extent of mental health and stress level in the Division of Cagayan de Oro City. This study employed a descriptive research design where the method included a quantitative approach in collecting data through a survey questionnaire. Further, the study reveals that the mental health and stress coping behavior showed negligible correlation to the level of primary school teachers’ teaching performance, as indicated by no significance probability value. Hence, it is recommended to implement a program related to stress management and other similar activities. They are encouraged to establish an effective tool to assist the teaches free from the adverse effects of stress. In addition, they should implement curricular control to give autonomy and motivate the teachers to improve their performance.
