Peer-Review and Editorial Process

The Asian Journal of General and Applied Studies (AJGAS) is committed to a fair, transparent, and rigorous editorial review process. All submissions undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal's aims and scope, originality, scholarly quality, methodological appropriateness, completeness, and compliance with publication ethics requirements.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are considered for double-anonymous peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another to the extent practicable. Each manuscript is evaluated by independent reviewers with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers assess the manuscript's originality, theoretical or practical contribution, research design, methodological rigor, analysis, clarity, ethical considerations, and engagement with relevant literature.

Based on the reviewers' reports and the editor's assessment, a manuscript may be accepted, returned for revision, or rejected. Where revisions are requested, the revised manuscript may undergo further review before a final decision is made. The final editorial decision rests with the responsible editor and is based on scholarly merit, relevance, ethical compliance, and the quality of the submitted work.

AJGAS does not guarantee acceptance or publication within a specific timeframe. The journal seeks to maintain editorial independence, confidentiality, impartiality, and responsible publication practices throughout the review process.
