Abstract

The study aimed to assess the efficacy of 3D Pop-up Model in English 4 to address the Grade 4 learners of Iligan City Central School learners’ in meeting the expected Reading Comprehension Skills. The research study utilized a pretest-posttest design. This was conducted in Iligan City Central School with 50 Grade Four learners of School Year 2024-2025. Consequently, 10 identified frustration learners from each 5 sections of Grade IV level were the participants. These 50 learners of Grade IV utilized the 3D Pop-up Model in Reading Comprehension Remediation through a tutorial-based. The instruments used include a forty-items pretest administered before the utilization of the 3D Pop-up Model with Grade IV learners, as well as a 40 items posttest conducted following the remediation classes using the 3D Pop-up Model. The learning competencies of the activities in this study were based on the Matatag curriculum exemplar of the Department of Education (DepEd) pilot implementation in reference to DM 54, s. 2023 . The results indicated a marked improvement in reading comprehension scores among students using 3D Pop-up models, with participants reporting increased engagement and motivation. This study highlights the potential of innovative instructional strategies in fostering deeper understanding and enjoyment of reading, suggesting that 3D Pop-up models could be a valuable addition to elementary education curricula. Further research is recommended to explore long-term effects and applications across diverse learning environments.
