Abstract

This study examines the connections between communities by qualitatively exploring the experiences of school personnel in partnerships with the community. Utilizing a qualitative approach, particularly phenomenology, the analysis of data collected from participants was conducted through thematic analysis. The study involved school personnel, including teachers, administrators, and support staff, who frequently encounter a range of shared experiences, both positive and challenging, in their involvement with school-community partnerships. These experiences encompass teamwork, effective dialogue, and common objectives. Indeed, Collaborative efforts offer the school essential support in executing programs, tackling challenges, and enhancing student resources. Initiatives such as Brigada Eskwela, health programs, and environmental campaigns illustrate the proactive involvement of barangay officials in fostering the success of schools. Their involvement cultivates a sense of community and responsibility, while simultaneously alleviating the workload of the school. Moreover, the involvement of school personnel is crucial in fostering strong community partnerships, and their responsibilities are varied. Educators play a crucial role in connecting educational institutions with the surrounding community to promote cooperative efforts. They cultivate connections with students, parents, and community members, fostering a welcoming and supportive educational atmosphere. The participants proposed various strategies to enhance the partnership between the community and schools. These included promoting open communication, improving resource sharing, collaborating on programs for students and families, encouraging parental engagement, and bolstering disaster preparedness and safety measures. This study of the experiences of school personnel with school-community partnerships highlights the critical importance of robust, cooperative relationships between educational institutions and their local communities.
