The effect of the atmosphere on the job performance of employees in the food and beverage department

Abstract
The aim of this stud is to measure how the atmosphere in the food and beverage department of hotel establishments, in other words, physical and social factors affect the job performance of employees. A questionnaire was developed based on the information obtained from the literature review. In the research, the data collected from 313 hotel staff working in the food and beverage department of five-star accommodation establishments located in Marmaris district of Muğla province in May-September 2017 were analysed with SPSS program. SPSS 17.0 statistical program was used to analyse the data that includes various statistical tools such as factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result of the research, 5 of the hypotheses were supported while 3 hypotheses were not supported.
