Abstract
This study aims to identify and evaluate the critical determinants of Green Intellectual Capital (GIC) within the hospitality sector, recognizing its increasing importance for sustainable competitive advantage. Employing a novel hybrid Fuzzy DEMATEL-TOPSIS approach, the research integrates the strengths of two prominent multi-criteria decision-making methods to handle complexity and uncertainty inherent in expert judgments. Initially, Fuzzy DEMATEL is utilized to map the causal relationships and interdependencies among a set of identified GIC determinants, providing insights into their influence and prominence. Subsequently, Fuzzy TOPSIS is applied to rank these determinants based on their overall importance, considering both their direct impact and their position within the causal network. Data were collected from a panel of experienced sustainability and hospitality experts. The findings reveal that 'Green Human Capital Development' and 'Green Organizational Learning' emerge as the most influential causal factors, significantly impacting other GIC components. The TOPSIS ranking further highlights the strategic importance of these factors along with 'Green Innovation Capacity' for enhancing GIC in the hospitality industry. This research offers valuable theoretical contributions by extending the understanding of GIC determinants and practical implications for hospitality managers and policymakers seeking to cultivate sustainable practices and achieve long-term environmental and economic performance.
