Abstract

The study sought to determine the influence of teachers’ burnout in terms of school heads’ leadership styles, excessive workload, and teachers’ teaching performance. Results show that school heads’ devious attitude and behavior, as well as the excessive workload, significantly influenced teachers’ burnout, which was perceived to affect teachers’ teaching performance. However, it was ascertained that school heads’ devious attitude and behavior, and the excessive workload, do not affect teachers’ teaching performance. It was recommended that the school principal revisit their leadership styles and intensify collaboration and partnership among teachers and stakeholders, and teachers are encouraged to sustain their remarkable teaching performance.
