Abstract

Recognizing the vital role of school leadership in navigating digital transformation and complex challenges, this study explores how digital leadership and resilience influence the effectiveness of school heads in the 3rd Congressional District of Negros Occidental. The participants are principals, assistant principals, officers-in-charge, and teachers-in-charge from secondary and elementary schools across the municipalities of Murcia and EB Magalona, as well as the cities of Talisay, Silay, and Victorias, the research investigates how these leaders utilize digital tools and resilience to navigate the complexities of their roles. Results indicate that school heads display a commendable level of digital leadership, using technology to foster innovative learning environments and support continuous improvement within their schools. Their resilience also stands out, with leaders demonstrating consistent strength in managing challenges and adapting to dynamic educational demands, regardless of demographic factors like age, gender, or educational background. Length of service, however, showed some influence on resilience levels. The findings emphasize the critical need for focused professional development programs to enhance digital leadership skills and resilience which target to support school heads in fostering collaborative, adaptive leadership practices that thrive even in challenging educational landscapes. This study thus provides valuable insights for educational stakeholders to empower school leaders with the skills necessary for driving positive change within the school and in the community.
