Abstract

This qualitative research design applying multiple case study aims to explore, discover, and comprehend the journey encountered by the early adult senior high school student-parents of Dagohoy National High School, Dagohoy, Talaingod Davao del Norte. In this study, three (3) participants were chosen to participate in an in-depth interview. Thematic analysis was used in analyzing the data. This study revealed the unique characteristics of each case. From the stories of failures and moments of triumph, six (6) major themes emerged. Three (3) themes also in surviving the challenges, from the thoughts of inspiration, another three themes emerged. Because not all the respondents had a support structure, the survey's results indicated that they frequently dealt with family difficulties and concerns about managing their finances and taking care of their children. Due to their twin responsibilities, which cause them to frequently overlook the importance of their health, a relationship ranks top among their priorities, while health comes in last. This research urges the school to strengthen the conduct of guidance programs such as teenage pregnancy awareness orientation for students and responsible parenting to those student-parents to help them pursue and finish their studies and recommends Department of Education allocate a budget for the Alternative Delivery Mode teachers, a particular teacher item, that focuses only on working students, student-parents, or any similar situations that hinder the students from attending classes daily.
