Abstract

The educational landscape has changed since the pandemic made everyone start over. Change, also referred to as the switch from one modality to another, makes it possible for various pressures and tensions among the teachers and students to appear on the surface. Teachers who struggled with transition following a modality switch received little attention in the literature because many research studies focused on student academic success. The untold stories of educators will be revealed in this study. The lived experiences of the teachers in hybrid learning modes were explained in this study using a Heideggerian phenomenology research design and the Moustakas-popularized seven-step Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) of Van Kaam. To prevent researchers’ bias, the study used bracketing. When the data saturation point was reached, ten people took part in this investigation. The interview was carried out utilizing a semi-structured questionnaire. There were four main themes that emerged, and this includes the hindrances, conquering the battle, the stratagem, and the highlights. The following themes are blatant examples of how educators are doing well in these challenging moments. It is recommended to develop implementation strategies that will improve the situation of the teachers and prepare them for switching to any style of instruction.
