Compliance of Selected Secondary Schools in the Division of Quezon to DepEd Order No. 66, S. 2017 on the Conduct of Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) Activities

Abstract

This study was designed to determine the level of selected secondary schools in the Division of Quezon to DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017 in conducting co-curricular and extracurricular, and off-campus activities. Specifically, this study seeks to answer the level of compliance of the selected secondary schools in the Division of Quezon to DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017in terms of departure as to planning, safety and security measures, site selection to Field Trips/ Educational Tours, service providers, learners, with Special Needs, Parents/ Guardian Conferences, and pre-departure briefings. Compliance with school rules, vehicle inspection, manifest, tracking, briefing upon arrival, close supervision, educational tourism, drop-off, and post-activity vehicle check. Compliance with the learner’s culminating activity, activity, evaluation, and submission of the activity report. A significant difference in the level of compliance was assessed by the learners, parents, teachers, and school heads.  Factors and reasons behind the level of compliance with DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017.  The researcher proposed an intervention based on the findings of the study to address compliance with DepEd Order No. 66, s. 2017.  The quantitative design be used in the study. Quantitative design, and causal-comparative design be used. A causal-comparative design is a research design that seeks to find relationships between independent and dependent variables after an action or event has already occurred. The study be conducted in the selected secondary schools in the Division of Quezon. In this study, the researcher used purposive or deliberate sampling, defined as a criterion or purpose for selection that becomes the basis for identifying the respondents. The researcher used the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and the analysis of variance and statistical tools in this study.
