The Journal of Advanced Studies in Tourism, Hospitality, and Management is committed to fostering intellectual discourse, promoting innovative research, and significantly advancing knowledge and practices in the dynamic and ever-evolving fields of tourism and hospitality management on a global scale.

This is an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.

The submitted manuscript will be reviewed in 10-12 days. After acceptance, the article will take 15 days to publish online.

Instructions for Authors

Please register and follow the instruction to write your manuscripts inside the online system. We have no special instructions regarding the formatting and structure of the article. The author has to input all the data required to our unique manuscript submission system. Our system will automatically format and create a pdf copy according to the format of JASTHM. This also saves the precious time of the writers and scientists. Regarding the submission systems, there is a video tutorial at documentations under the 'Manuscript' card. Once the manuscript has been written in the online writing system, the manuscript must be analyzed by the automatic system. If all the requirements are fulfilled, the system will allow the author to submit; and the "Submit" button will appear. The author must suggest at least two reviewers submit the paper.

Publication Process

All articles pass through the following steps to be able to publish in JASTHM:

1. Manuscript text was written (or pasted from any other software like MS Word etc.) in the online system. The text must not contain figures and tables.
2. Figures are uploaded into the online system in any suitable format (JPG, PNG, TIF etc.). While uploading, please provide the title/caption of the figure that must be appeared below the figure in the manuscript.
3. Tables are uploaded into the online system by the following two procedures: 1) Table pasted from the MS Word 2), Table created in the online editor. Tables in MS Word files are not acceptable.
4. References/Bibliographies are added in the online system by the following procedures: 1) Searching in the online system and adding into your library, 2) Adding manually, 3) Adding the bib format obtained from Google Scholar export citation option, 4) Adding the json file obtained from NCBI export citation option.
5. If all the requirements are delivered by the author, the manuscript can be submitted.
6. The editor checks the submitted manuscript. If the manuscript falls under the aim and scope of the JASTHM, the editor forwards the manuscript to the suggested reviewers. 
7. If two reviewers suggest rejecting the manuscript, the editor rejects it and sends the comments to the author. 
8. If one reviewer suggests rejecting another major/minor revision, the editor may send the manuscript to a third reviewer. For a manuscript to be accepted in the JASTHM, at least two reviewers must suggest the acceptance.
9. Once the manuscript is accepted, the online system automatically converts it to a PDF file that is sent to the author for Galley proofs. 
10. The manuscript is published online immediately without delay after the Galley proofs have been replied to.

Review Procedure

The JASTHM has adopted a policy of a double-blinded reviewing system. The review process adopted by the JASTHM is as follows:

1. Before submission, the author must add at least two reviewers into the online system in order to see the submit button.
2. The reviewers must have published at least 10 research articles in the same field in order to understand the topic.
3. After the submission, if the manuscript's topic is suitable for the JASTHM, the editor invites the reviewer to review within 3-7 days.
4. The reviewer must sign in to the reviewers' panel to see the manuscript. 
5. The reviewer sees a table where each section like title, abstract, introduction, conclusion, etc. are placed separately. The reviewer has to comment separately on each section.
6. The reviewer must suggest one of the following: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Reject in order to submit the review. 
7. The editor receives the reviewer's comments and forwards them to the author.
8. The author may re-submit the manuscript for review.

JASTHM Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

The Journal of Advanced Studies in Tourism, Hospitality, and Management (JASTHM) Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Their Code of Conduct guidelines is available at www.publicationethics.org. JASTHM is dedicated to following the best practices on ethical matters, errors and retractions. It is also committed to meeting and upholding standards of ethical behavior at all stages of the publication process.

Author's Responsibilities

General

Authors of original papers should present an accurate account of the work as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to check on or replicate the work. Authors are also required to prepare their manuscripts according to the format given in Manuscript Guidelines for JASTHM.

Multiple, redundant or concurrent publication

JASTHM requires all authors of a research paper to sign a letter that states that the manuscript has not been published before, and is not under consideration for publication in any other journals. The author or authors should agree also to transfer to JASTHM all rights, including the exclusive right to electronically store, reproduce and distribute the contribution wholly or in part, including publish, reprints, translations, photographic, and reproductions. (Submission and Publication Acceptance Agreements) Publication in JASTHM transfers the right to JASTHM to distribute papers, but authors do retain their copyright. Submission to a JASTHM is taken by the journal to mean that all the listed authors have agreed to these terms.

Originality, plagiarism, and acknowledgment of sources

The authors are responsible to ensure the originality of their submissions It is expected that the data in the articles will be authentic. Authors must submit only original works, and should appropriately cite or quote the work and/or words of others. The author is required to send a statement indicating that the submission is original work. (General Requirements). Authors obliged to participate in the peer-review process Authors are obliged to participate in the peer-review process of their submitted manuscript. They should communicate with JASTHM editors and respond to all the comments and any suggestions of reviewers. They should also follow any relevant deadlines. Authors are obliged to provide retractions or corrections of mistakes All errors discovered in the manuscript after submission must be swiftly communicated to the Editor. Authors of published material also have a responsibility to inform the journal promptly if they become aware of any part that requires correcting.

Authorship of the paper

Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The corresponding author will ensure that all contributing co-authors are included in the author list. The corresponding author will also verify that all co-authors have approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication. Author/s attest to the fact that all authors listed on the title page have contributed significantly to the work, have read the manuscript, attest to the validity and legitimacy of the data and its interpretation, and agree to its submission to the JASTHM. All authors agree that the author list is correct in its content and order and that no modification to the author list can be made without the formal approval of the Editor, and all authors accept that the Editor’s decisions over acceptance or rejection or in the event of any breach of the Principles of Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement in JASTHM being discovered of retraction are final. No additional authors will be added post-submission unless editors receive agreement from all authors and detailed information is supplied as to why the author list should be amended. On behalf of all Co-Authors, the Corresponding Author shall bear full responsibility for the submission. Any violation of the terms of Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement may lead to retraction of the paper.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest

All authors should include a statement disclosing any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.

Article Processing Charges

Journal of Advanced Studies in Tourism, Hospitality, and Management is supported through very nominal Article Processing Charges. There are no charges for article submission. The charge for each accepted article is 50 USD.

We are publishing articles under the Creative Commons Licence CC-BY-NC. We have no copyright forms etc. Once published, the author has full control over the copyright without restrictions.
