SciMatic Check

Check your manuscript before you submit it. Every reference is looked up in Crossref and OpenAlex, retracted and corrected papers are flagged, and the paper is measured against the journal's rules and the statements it must make.

  • References: verified, details that differ, not found, retracted, expression of concern or corrected, each with its DOI.
  • Journal fit: length, abstract, keywords, sections, reference count and citation style.
  • Statements: funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, ethics, consent and AI use.
  • Signals worth a second look: things an editor may question, each with why it may be innocent. No AI score: no tool can reliably tell whether text was written by AI.
Every journal has 0 free checks a day, shared by its authors and editors. After that a check costs $1.00, paid from your SciMatic balance; one person can use up to 0 free checks a day. Charged only when the report is ready; a check that fails costs nothing.
