Education for women should always be directed towards their holistic development. Institutions of Christian education for girls have left a tradition of providing both basic education and professional education for a century and a half. This paper looks into the extent Christian educational institutions’ roles in the process of assimilation of values and their contribution to women for the building up of democratic India in terms of their leadership, commitment to the family and nation, and dedication to the general welfare of the people.
