Country Coordinator Programme

Represent your country on SciMatic

Every country on SciMatic is held by a single coordinator — the person who approves journals from that country, reviews thesis submissions, and earns a share of everything their country publishes. 199 countries are still open.

What you get

Decide journals from your country

Journal applications naming your country come to you, not to an admin queue. You read the aim and scope, then approve or reject with a reason — and your decision is what stands.

A panel of your own

One page showing every university, researcher, research group, thesis submission and journal in your country, with the pending work counted at the top.

Recurring income

You earn on every article published by the journals you approved, for as long as you hold the country — not a one-off fee. See the rates below.

Recognition

You are named as SciMatic's representative for your country, and you are the contact for the universities, editors and students in it.

Build your national network

Review the researchers joining from your country and grow a national community around your universities and research groups.

Exclusive to one person

A country has exactly one coordinator. Once your country is granted, it is yours and nobody else can be appointed alongside you.

What it pays

10%
of every article fee

Of what SciMatic actually collects for each article published in a journal you approved. Paid per article, for as long as you coordinate the country.

25%
of every printed certificate

Of each printed-certificate order shipped to your country, credited when the order is paid.

How the money works — plainly

  • Paid on money received, never on invoices. If an author never pays, nothing is owed to anyone.
  • You must have approved the journal. Journals approved by an admin, or before this programme existed, earn nobody a share.
  • Each bonus lands in your SciMatic balance as a ledger entry you can read back under Balance Activity — every payment is itemised with the journal and the amount it came from.
  • It stops if you stop. If your country is reassigned, articles published after that no longer pay you. Bonuses already credited are yours and are never recalculated.
  • A cancelled and refunded certificate order takes its bonus back, since the money went back to the buyer.

For example: a journal you approved publishes 20 articles in a year with $300 collected for each. That is $6,000 collected, and $600 to you — from one journal.

What we expect of you

Decide journal applications from your country promptly, and give a real reason when you reject one.
Review thesis submissions from your country.
Be reachable by email, and be a genuine academic contact for your country.
Judge on merit. Approving weak journals for the commission is the one thing that will cost you the role.

Which countries are available

199 countries have no approved coordinator yet and can be applied for. 2 are already held — shown greyed out below.

Philippines Taken Türkiye Taken

Greyed-out countries already have a coordinator and cannot be applied for — a country is held by one person.

Apply

You need a SciMatic account to apply — an application is tied to the person who will hold the country.
