Abstract
The clinical experience is often thought of as an opportunity to tie theory to practice. However, with the current shortage of full-time nursing faculty and the increased dependence on adjunct faculty, how do administrators ensure quality? The purpose of this exploratory descriptive study was to determine the evaluation practices of administrators from accredited universities. Administrators' (n = 26) methods of evaluation were collected via survey with follow-up interviews. Several themes emerged that may assist with the identification of issues in the evaluation of adjunct clinical faculty.
