Abstract

This study aims to compare the social capital levels of different income groups in the three largest cities in Turkey. Within the framework of Bourdieu's conceptualization of social capital is considered as an individual resource in this study. Basic findings of the study are based on the survey results conducted by 1110 people in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Although social capital level is not high enough for all income groups; it is possible to say that social capital showed significant differences accordiThis study aims to compare the social capital levels of different income groups in the three largest cities in Turkey. The level of social capital is higher in the high-income group compare to low-income groups.
