Abstract
A 68-year-old Canadian woman originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo returned to Canada after a 10-month stay in the Congo where she was visiting friends and relatives. She had taken no chemoprophylaxis for malaria and sought no pretravel advice. Three days after returning to Canada, she
