Abstract
The article compares the reflection of the First World War events in the historic memory and educational space of two societies: the Netherlandian and the Russian ones. Some new historic sources of archive origin, disclosing the little-known moments in the history of the World War are introduced for the scientific use.
The conclusion contains the information of the factors, influencing the materials introduction. The idea that all objective information delivery on the First World War leads to the elimination of stereotypes in the perception of the events at the time and the appropriate reflection in the educational space and as a result, promotes the understanding between the nations is justified.
