Abstract
The aim of the article is to present results of the systematization of monitoring
types according to different classification criteria. Monitoring is described as
a systematic observation realized within the framework of a general system
for managing a particular object and providing measurement and comparison
of its actual characteristics with the basic ones (planned, normative) in
order to develop and implement measures to develop the management
object both in the current period and in a long term prospect. There has
been given a critical evaluation of existing approaches to the monitoring
classification with the focus on the criteria, which are acceptable for using
in the organization of monitoring at the enterprise within a general system
for managing results of the business entity operation and development. On
the basis of generalization of existing approaches, types of monitoring have
been grouped by the following main classification criteria: the sphere, scope
and obligatoriness of implementation, subject, object, target and level of
management objectives, methodological principles and implementation
stage, user orientation. For each of the selected monitoring types features of
its implementation have been defined. The relationships between different
types of monitoring have been revealed.
