The article deals with the basic principles of environmental policy in the field of waste management; it is analyzed the correlation of legal acts, qualitative and quantitative indices of waste management policy. It is proposed the propositions for unification and differentiation of directions of environmental policy in this area. It is distinguished levels of environmental policy and the basic differences between them. It is characterized the features of the state, public and industrial environmental policy as a form of policy on waste management.
