Leopoldo Gotuzzo (1887 – 1983) foi e ainda é um artista exponencial para a arte no Rio Grande do Sul, no entanto, podem ser identificadas diferentes formas de interação do campo artístico para com o artista e sua obra o que se reflete, sobremaneira, na sua recepção em meio ao ambiente artístico. Nesse sentido, este estudo propõe-se a investigar as causas que podem ter atuado na variação da recepção da obra do artista durante os períodos de 1935 a 1955, de 1980 a 1987 e de 2000 a 2006. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Leopoldo Gotuzzo. Recepção. Campo artístico. Habitus. ABSTRACT: Leopoldo Gotuzzo (1887 – 1983) was and still is an outstanding artist in the artistic scene in Rio Grande do Sul. Different interactions in the artistic field between the artist and his work can be identified, and this has greatly influenced Gotuzzo’s acceptance in the artistic milieu. This work proposes an investigation of the causes that may have interfered in the varied levels of acceptance of the artist’s works between 1935 – 1955, 1980 – 1987 and 2000 – 2006.
